This year’s Annual Ukrainian Famine Lecture, Not by Starvation Alone: Stalinist Cultural Genocide in Ukraine, will be delivered online on November 26 by Serhy Yekelchyk, Professor of History and Slavic Studies at the University of Victoria.
The Toronto Annual Ukrainian Famine Lecture was initiated in 1998. This year’s lecture is organized by the Holodomor Research and Education Consortium (CIUS, University of Alberta); the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (University of Toronto); the Canadian Foundation for Ukrainian Studies; the Ukrainian Canadian Congress-Toronto branch; the Petro Jacyk Program for the Study of Ukraine (University of Toronto); and St. Vladimir Institute (Toronto).
About the Lecture
The Toronto Annual Ukrainian Famine Lecture began in 1998 at the initiative of the Famine-Genocide Commemorative Committee of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Toronto Branch.
