HREC Special Collections

Welcome to the HREC Special Collections. Here you will find a number of digital collections of resources relating to the Holodomor.

 

The Maniak Collection features letters written by Holodomor witnesses and preserved in a database on the HREC website. These letters are in the process of being migrated to the larger Holodomor Digital Collection database, developed in collaboration with Our Digital World, available with extensive metadata and in fully searchable format. 

 

The HREC Online Holodomor Photo Directory contains more than 100 authenticated photographs from the Holodomor of 1932-33.

 

The UCRDC: Holodomor Survivors’ Oral Histories contains a valuable collection of 84 video interviews with Holodomor survivors conducted by the Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Centre.
