Challenges in Studying the Holodomor
Oleh Wolowyna (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) delivered a lecture titled “Remarks on the Study of the Holodomor.” Professor Wolowyna addressed facts and myths about the Holodomor: what we know, what we think we know, and what we don’t know; the Holodomor as one of the greatest crimes of the twentieth century; collaboration of historians and demographers in the study of the Holodomor; and scholarship as a weapon against Russian disinformation.
