The Material World of Ukrainian Children during the Holodomor and What Saved Children’s Lives
Dr. Skubii presented her research in a seminar at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto. She discussed the importance of material items and commodities in saving children’s lives, both within their families and in orphanages. Focusing on children’s consumer goods, she examined the mechanisms of distribution and allocation of consumer goods as well as the spaces and practices of consumption by children in 1932-1933.
